The Day of Hope

Today, the children of Y5 dressed in different colours of the rainbow. We did this to show pride in our nation during lockdown.

We discussed our hopes for 2021:

“I’m hopeful to see more of my family next year.” Lily P.

“I’m hoping to keep more clean sheets for the rest of the season.” Ellis B.

“I hope to go back to Villa Park (I might even see Mr BB!).” Frankie C.

“I am hopeful that only good things happen all year!” Chloe S.

“I hope that I can go back to my gymnastics club.” Lily-Rose.

“We hope that everyone is happy.” Lewis and Dylan H.

“I hope to go back and meet my Brownies troop in person.” Ella.

“I hope not to have to go to A&E again!” Ethan W.

What are you hopeful for next year? Comment below!

Empathy Challenge

Our value of the term is “Empathy”.

We have just discussed how we can show empathy at home by recognising when help is needed.

As such, the children of Class 11 have begged for this challenge. It’s called the, “What can I do for you?” challenge.

Over the next week or so, the children of Class 11 WILL ask adults at home, “What can I do for you?”.

Pictures (sent to phowell@swindonvillage.gloucs.sch.uk) of the lovely children helping at home would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you and Merry Christmas!

Movie Night

Thanks to all who stayed and watched Home Alone (one of my personal favourites!).

Everyone had a great time ‘chillin’ and having some much needed down time.

All the children have worked incredibly hard this year so far and we are incredibly proud of them all.

Have a great weekend everyone,

Mr Howell

DT Project

Afternoon everyone,

Class 11 will be making their DT projects for the “Winter Fayre” next week.

Some children would like to have photos from home to use for their projects. If this is your child, photos can be emailed in to:

phowell@swindonvillage.gloucs.sch.uk.

Thanks in advance,

Mr H

Crazy Hair/Birthday Treat

Thanks to everyone who took part in the crazy hair themed day today. You all looked (extra) crazy today!

We also had an afternoon treat for everyone’s birthday in August-November. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

Here are a few pictures from our Just Dance Party:

HAVE A FANTASTIC WEEKEND EVERYONE!

WACKY WARDROBES

LOL

Today saw the 3rd dress up day. We saw some very bizarre outfits today and some even more bizarre jokes!

Well done everyone. It was great to see your wacky sides!

Here are just a few of the (fantastic) jokes that were told today…

ICT Afternoon

Every other Thursday means one thing in Class 11…COMPUTING!

We have been researching in an attempt to gather ideas for our DT Winter Upcycling Project.

In the coming days, a letter will come home asking for empty, clean glass jars. These will be made in to a Christmassy surprise as part of our DT project. If every child could bring one in with them, it would mean everyone can make their own individual surprise.

Thanks in advance,

Mr Howell
